Aspen Garners High Marks on FDA Inspection
(San Antonio, TX) January 31, 2011— Quality is not an option at Aspen Beverage Group; it's a way of life. This has been the mantra for Aspen since its inception in 1993. Aspen has always set the standard for exceptional food safety and quality systems as set by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Aspen has consistently received high marks on all of its inspections.
Recently, Aspen received an unannounced visit by the FDA in which they conducted a food safety inspection. This two day inspection conducted by one of the FDA’s Consumer Safety Officer, reviewed the food safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), as well as the company’s processes, traceability, recall, food defense, and allergen management programs.
Aspen remains confident and prepared in all its inspections whether they’re planned or unplanned. The outcome of this most recent visit by the FDA inspection was successful with “no violations” cited. Again, a testament of how Aspen addresses quality assurance and food safety.
Jeffrey Bryan, Aspen’s Quality Assurance and Food Safety Director, stated “This company has always empowered me to bring the company to the highest standard of food safety and quality. Aspen always works as a team; here quality is not centered on one person. Everyone takes accountability for quality assurance.”
